We love introducing new photographers to I am captivated as it is these talented individuals who inspire us with their beautiful images.  However Jacqui Nightscales Photography is not altogether new but we wanted to give her a belated, warm welcome to the family by showcasing a range of her work.  We met a while ago and I loved bouncing off my dreams and ideas with her and came away feeling inspired and dreaming about all the styled shoots we could do together- now to make those a reality.  There is no doubt you will feel relaxed and comfortable with her and enjoy your experience capturing life`s special moments.

A brief description about your business and what it is that you do…

People fascinate me. I love to photograph babies that are only a few days old, to couples about to embark on the exciting journey of marriage, to watching your children grow as you join me year after year to update your family photo’s.

Why  you love what you do…

Photography fills me with purpose and joy. To document the relationship of families and couples is an incredible feeling. I feel so honoured to be able to capture the beauty that is you!

Have you always been a photographer…

Yes, it’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do. I studied a darkroom photography course in the States after school whilst au-pairing, and then went on to study a further 3 years in Photography in South Africa. I have travelled for many years around the States, England and now the Middle East, and have done photography the whole time. Over the last few years, I’ve fallen in love with it even more, and feel the need now to push myself more than ever before to excel. I’m always trying to make this shoot better than the last, and to become a better photographer.

Your main focus of photography…

I will put you at ease in front of my camera so that I can capture you as naturally as possible, in the most natural surroundings that I can find. All I care about is getting the best photos possible for you. It’s very important to me to keep things real. It’s not about the poses for me, it’s about the moments and the relationships. I want my clients to relax and just have fun with me.

Why you love Dubai…

Dubai can make you push yourself as a photographer to become everything you want to be. The opportunities are endless, and will present themselves to you wherever you look. You can’t get tired of doing what you do or get stuck in a rut – there’s just to much to learn!

Your favourite place to go for a relaxing cup of tea…

My new favourite place that I’ve been introduced to by my friend Lindy is the Cycle Hub in Motor City. WOW. I turned vegetarian a few months ago and am on my journey to turn vegan, so it’s tough sometimes grabbing a quick bite to eat. They have the most amazing veggie options and healthy smoothies to die for. So healthy AND delicious! I don’t think I’ve ever ordered a cup of tea while I’ve been out 😉 I used to only drink chocolate milkshakes but now opt for a healthy smoothie or water.

Your favourite holiday destination…

Asia. I can’t get enough of it. I love the rustic, down to earth people, the yummy food, and how you can stay for weeks and it is so affordable. Next on my bucket  list is Indonesia and Laos.
