A family is most certainly one of life`s richest blessings, and it must be an incredible experience to be able to capture moments in a family`s life that they can cherish forever!  Claire Barlow captures all this, from the innocence of a newborn to the inquisitive mind of a toddler, to the love between a family.  The image of a family echos something so beautiful… a place to feel safe, to dream and to grow into the person you were created to be.  I can only imagine that it is must be a privilege for Claire to be able to capture newborns, children and families and I have no doubt her clients must be thrilled with the final product.  Her images tell a wonderful story and her work must certainly occupy a special place in her client`s homes.  So without further ado I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Claire Barlow Photography!  P.S This lady is a talented interiors stylist but more on that to come… Enjoy these beautiful images!

A brief description about your business and what it is that you do…

I’m a natural light portrait photographer and I specialise in family and newborn portraits. Hopefully my photography is classic but not stuffy, something you’ll hopefully have in your home for many years to come and you’ll want to pass on to your children.

Why  you love what you do…
Its creative and I really enjoy creating something that is really personal at the end of the day. I love photographing people and getting to know them and their families and seeing their reaction when they get their photographs back. I’ve loved photography and looking at images since a young age and always enjoyed pulling photographs out of magazines or leafing through photography books, particularly the ones that cover people and I really like thinking about how people can be captured at their best and most carefree.
Have you always been a photographer…
No – I worked in interiors magazines as a stylist and writer and still do some freelancing (www.clairebarlow.com) and before that I was a menu designer for a big catering company in London.
Your main focus of photography…
Portraits …. and right now its newborns, children and families.
Why you love Dubai…
The sense of possibility. Dubai is like a big town you can do so much here in terms of work opportunities and meeting people who are doing interesting stuff, I am lucky to have a bunch of great friends and I love the sun and being outside, its very easy with small children and you can do so much more with your day.
Your favourite place to go for a relaxing cup of tea…
Archive in Safa park is great, I’d love to also have somewhere right on the beach which isn’t in a hotel – I haven’t found it yet…so for now its any old nice part of the beach, my pop up chair, a thermos of tea, some gingersnaps, a rug and some buckets and spades for the children – geriatric but soooo lovely!!!
Your favourite holiday destination…
It depends, if its just my husband and I, somewhere I’ve never been, that combines a bit of sun, culture, shopping and lots of relaxation… if its with the children, def somewhere we’ve been before and enjoyed such as Galle in Sri Lanka.
