An `enchanted` family shoot

At `I am captivated` we treasure and adore families.  The best part about featuring family shoots is that we get to see children feeling confident, safe and loved in the presence of their moms and dads.  These are such special moments, that if captured perfectly, make for beautiful photographs.  You can imagine my delight when I came across this family shoot photographed by Melissa Beattie…perfection, if you ask me!  I adore the oatmeal colour tones captured in these images and they enhance beautiful little Zara`s features and her gorgeous outfits.  As I look through these images of Zara pretending to be a queen, I feel privileged to be a part of her world of make believe.  I can only imagine what it might be filled with…fairies, magic, princess and pure joy.

A word from the photographer…
For me this shoot was an absolutely dream. Michelle won the shoot on a Facebook competition I held (lucky lady), and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect winner. she quickly shared the vision she had for the shoot and from that point I knew we were going to get on great. We chatted often about ideas we both had, so by the time the shoot came round we were brimming with inspiration. The shoot it itself took place in the open desert just beyond Arabian Ranches, Dubai … It was the perfect setting.
I have to take my hat off to Michelle, she really embraced the shoot and made the most of the opportunity she was given. She sourced and shipped Zara’s amazing outfits all the way Australia, from a fabulous boutique called Tutu Du Monde. She even got super creative and made the ribbon wand and glitter sticks too (items sourced from Creative Minds, Dubai). She puts my creative DIY skills to shame.
I hope you enjoy looking through these images as much as we did creating them.

Mel x
