A touch of Christmas

While sitting here typing this, my mind is racing with ideas of what to post next; wrapping ideas, advent calendar ideas, table decor, baked treats and so much more.  Andy and I will be celebrating our second Christmas together and yesterday we put up our tree.  We had the carols playing, warm mince pies and freshly backed scones…yummy!  Before this my mum and I headed off to Mall of the Emirates to buy a few Christmas decorations (Andy and I buy a Christmas decoration every year for each of our goddaughters and we have now started this tradition for ourselves).  Choosing a beautiful, quirky, unique decoration is something I look forward to.  Crate and Barrel have created a Christmas market inside their store, truly `captivating`and definitely worth a visit.  I came home with a snow man and two little penguins.

Being an expat means many of us travel over this festive season but there is no excuse not to add some Christmas cheer to your home.  I decided to post a few images that might inspire you to be creative and to beautify your space, even if it is only a little touch of magic.  There is something about rustic, natural and handmade decorations that have captivated my heart this year…
